Fresh from the soaraway success of Macbeth, Melting Pot, Worcester’s acclaimed independent theatre company, brings you Bloody Poetry by Howard Brenton. A witty, funny, sexy and ultimately very moving play about the unravelling of ideals of literature and love in the face of the reality of human relationships. Percy Bysshe Shelley, idealist & radical poet, with his eyes on the sublime; meets raffish, famous and fabulously talented George Byron, whose eyes tend to linger on the ladies in the party. In exile in Italy, Mary Shelley and Claire Clairemont make up the half of the ménage a quatre whose outrageous exploits shock staid, middle class England but ultimately lead to tragedy.
