The first thing to strike you about Big Cats is their singer.
Kat Howell has a fantastic voice and simply loves to use it,
throwing herself into songs which many singers would
hesitate even to attempt. The result is impressive, and
occasionally stunning. You don’t have to take my word for
it, just have a listen to the tracks on the player.
Having an unusually talented singer naturally widens the
pool from which the band can draw their material. In
selecting the songs to cover they have taken pains to avoid
the more obvious choices, and have instead gone mainly
for songs which, while they are just as well known, are
generally less often covered - although they still can’t resist
dropping a few old favourites in to the mix.
The result is a diverse and entertaining set with a high
dancability factor.
The boys (I use the term loosely) in the band are all
competent and experienced musicians, whose versatile
playing ranges from sensitive and restrained
accompaniment to outright rockin’ & rollin'.
With an imaginative and varied repertoire, great
musicianship, a highly professional attitude and one of the
best singers around Big Cats are the ideal band for all
occasions, from parties & weddings to pub music nights.

Big Cat’s set list includes songs by Belinda Carlisle, The Corrs, Ocean Colour Scene, The Stereophonics, The Pretenders, Foo Fighters, The Manic Street Preachers, 4 Non Blondes, Sheryl Crow, Guns ‘n’ Roses, Tiffany, Blondie, Cheap Trick, The Police, Take That, Pink, The Cure, Boston, Eddie and the Hot Rods, The Knack, U2, The Feeling, The Zutons, Orson, Queen, The Undertones, George Michael, The Darkness and more.
