HUMPHREY & RENSHAW – THEIR BEST YET
If there’s one event you see this summer make it the new ‘Humphrey & Renshaw’ show ‘Contains Small Parts’. As part of the Worcester Festival the two locally born comedians have been asked to return to their hometown to premiere their new show at the Swan Theatre.
The west-midlands pair have enjoyed considerable success over the past few years as their shows have gone from strength to strength. They even took part of their street act to Poland last year as part of the Lodz international street festival and this year they are returning with even more hilarious sketches that are set to have audiences rolling in the isles.
Ben Humphrey & Simon Renshaw formed their comic alliance when they were students at the King’s School, Worcester and have been writing and performing together even since. Along with Humphrey & Renshaw comes a crack team of writers who have been working with the duo to prepare the laugh-a-minute show. ‘We are pulling no punches on this show’ Renshaw says. ‘We were blown away with the response we had to our last live show and we are confident that this is the best one yet.’ ‘Obviously, improving on perfection is going to be difficult’ Humphrey adds. ‘But I think we’ll get there’. Whilst at the Swan Theatre the show will be filmed by Bravado Productions for the duo’s first ever live DVD to be released in time for Christmas. ‘People have been asking us for ages when we are going to release some of our sketches, so when Bravado Productions approached us to film the shows we leapt on the opportunity and signed a deal in time for this coming Christmas.’
T
he show is in Worcester for two nights only and will be being filmed both nights. You can book your tickets through the Worcester Live Box Office on 01905 611427 or online at www.worcesterlive.co.uk. Tickets are on sale now and are expected to go quickly so booking is highly recommended.
